国家新药筛选中心由国家科技部、中国科学院和上海市共同投资建设，是目前我国唯一的国家级新药筛选中心。作为公共技术平台，国家新药筛选中心面向全国的高等院校、科研机构和医药企业提供样品筛选和专业咨询服务。
The National Center for Drug Screening was jointly invested by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Shanghai Municipality Government. At present, it is the only national center specializing in screening for new drugs. As a public technology platform, the Center offers drug screening services and technical consultation to universities, research institutions and pharmaceutical companies nationwide. 国家化合物样品库是由国家新药筛选中心、中国科学院上海药物研究所和上海张江生物医药基地开发有限公司共同承建的大型基础科研设施，位于“药谷”张江。国家化合物样品库的储量在2015年底将接近200万个，具有结构多样化、存储专业化、 管理集中化、信息系统化和质控标准化等特点。作为我国创新药物研究的重要物质和信息资源，它将为国内外客户提供高质量的专业服务，促进我国医药产业的可持续性发展。
The Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL), located at the Pharma Valley of China – Shanghai Zhangjiang High-tech Park, is a major research and development establishment managed by the National Center for Drug Screening, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Zhangjiang Biopharmaceutical Base Development, Co., Ltd. Its storage capacity will approach to two million compounds possessing diversified structures by the year 2015. Coupled with this library will be advanced sample handling, information management and quality control systems. As an important material and information resource, CNCL will work with both domestic and international stakeholders to promote sustained development of Chinese pharmaceutical industry.
